AI Discord bots in 2026: what they can actually do

A plain look at AI Discord bots in 2026, sorted by the job they do: images, chat, support answers and running your server.

"AI Discord bot" can mean very different things. Some bots make images. Some chat. Some answer support questions. Some change your server for you. The right one depends on the job you need done, so this guide sorts bots by job instead of ranking them.

We make Flo, which is one of the bots below. We have tried to describe each bot by what its own site says, including what it does better than Flo. Features and prices change often, so check each site before you decide. Everything here was checked on November 3, 2026.

The four jobs

Images: Midjourney and MEE6

Midjourney is a well-known AI image generator that started on Discord. You give it a prompt and it returns images. It is a paid service, so check Midjourney's site for current plans before you plan around it.

MEE6 also generates images with its /imagine command, as part of its AI plans.

Good for: art communities and creative servers. Keep in mind: an image bot does nothing to run or protect your server.

Chat and writing: MEE6

MEE6 is best known for leveling, giveaways and music. Its AI features cover /write for text, replies when someone mentions the bot, AI Characters that members can chat with, and Bot Maker, which turns a plain-language description into a custom feature you test in a simulator. MEE6's help center says its AI plans have monthly limits, and it lists no prices, so check mee6.xyz.

Good for: social servers and servers that already run MEE6. Keep in mind: a chat bot is not a moderator. Decide which channels it can post in, and what you will do if it says something you would not.

Support answers: eesel AI and Quickchat AI

If your Discord is where customers ask about a product, a support agent can answer from your documentation. eesel AI lists Discord as a place you can talk to its agent, and it connects to sources like help centers and Notion. Quickchat AI builds support agents that answer from your docs, hand off to a human, and list Discord among their channels.

Good for: product and software communities with a help channel. Keep in mind: answers are only as good as the docs you give them. Make it easy for people to reach a human.

Server setup and admin: Flo and others

This is the job that changes your server instead of talking about it. Several bots do it in different ways:

  • Flo. You mention it and ask in plain English, for example "make a staff category with private channels". It replies with a checklist of what it will do and waits for you to confirm. The AI server builder drafts a whole server layout from one sentence. Flo is also a full moderation bot. Free servers get 5 AI uses a week, automod, moderation, phishing link blocking, hacked-account alerts, tickets and welcome messages. Pro is $5.99 a month and adds building with the AI Builder, automatic hacked-account protection and 75 AI uses a month. Ultra is $19.99 a month and adds the most AI uses. See pricing.
  • Bond. You run your server by mentioning Bond, with confirm buttons before permanent changes and no dashboard. Its free plan includes 1M tokens a week. See Flo vs Bond.
  • Modu. An AI agent that plans, asks before anything destructive and can undo changes, plus a server audit with a health score. Its AI starts on a paid plan from $9 a month. See Flo vs Modu.
  • PeakBot. Lets you try its AI Server Builder for free and keeps its AI Discord command on its Pro plan. See Flo vs PeakBot.
  • Server builders. Server Maker, BuildMyDiscord, Discrofy and ServerGPT build a server from a text description. The comparison hub shows what each one does after the build.

Good for: admins who set up and change their server often, or who would rather describe a change than click through permissions. Keep in mind: Flo does not make images or run leveling, giveaways or music. It is built for running a server.

Building your own

Plenty of servers run a custom bot connected to an AI model from a provider like OpenAI or Anthropic. You get full control, and you also host it, pay for usage and maintain it. It makes sense when no existing bot fits a very specific job.

How to choose

Ask what job you want done, then pick from that row of the table:

  • "I want AI art in my server." An image bot.
  • "I want a bot people can talk to." A chat bot.
  • "I want questions answered from our docs." A support agent.
  • "I want help setting up and running the server." A setup and admin bot.

Many servers run more than one. They do different jobs, so they rarely get in each other's way.

Want to see the admin job in action? Add Flo to your server and ask it for something small. You can also read how to build a server with AI first.
